About
Hathaway are proud to be part of the design and construction of a 620,000sqft bespoke production facility, including manufacturing, office and storage floor space for Ball Corporation.
The project scheme comprises of the installation of six can manufacturing lines along with technical and engineering maintenance spaces.
With careful attention paid to the complex manufacturing fit out, Hathaway worked closely with the design team lead by Winvic and UMC to create bespoke roof and wall penetrations details. This involved extensive design co-ordination resulting in our specialist fabrication division manufacturing numerous weathering kerbs integrated within the cladding systems, to provide the optimum solution to meet the client needs.
Case Study
Leigh Palmer, Hathaway Operations Manager commented “Project Tesla was certainly challenging with hundreds of penetrations in various sizes passing through the specified twin-skin roof system.
The roof design took a lot of cross department discussions and planning. This resulted in Hathaway installing walkable 0.7mm liner panels to certain areas to assist installation, and bespoke profiled soakers to both the liner panels and the top sheets resulting a robust weathering solution.
Thanks to the excellent ground and lay down areas provided by Winvic, the warehouse elevations and offices were installed to an excellent standard and delivered ahead of programme.
Overall, the entire process and delivery from Estimating, Design, Fabrication and Construction on this project, showcases Hathaway’s departmental teams working as one to successfully deliver a great end result! Well done to all involved.”
